THE 2019 AMA Supercross season is looking like it’s going to be a classic. The big three, Eli Tomac, Marvin Musquin and Ken Roczen, are looking good for a rematch – and we expect Roczen to be 100% ready this season. But as well the rest of the field have come on, so we can expect a few more names mixing it on the podium in 450SX. Then we have the 250SX East and West championships which are sure to be on fire again – as always.
Now, as a warm up to the season we’ve got some stories to tell from our recent visit to the States. And the first instalment from that comes in the form of a visit we made to the launch of KTM USA’s supercross teams at their test track in Corona, California. They had their top team, the Red Bull KTM squad there – for this year that’s Marvin Musquin and Cooper Webb, both riding 450SX. Also in 450SX, is Rocky Mountain ATV’s Benny Bloss who achieved Rookie of the Year in 2018 after excellent end of season finishes.
Also in Corona were the Troy Lee Designs KTM 250SX team, effectively captained by Shane McElrath, with first lieutenant Jordan Smith and Privates Sean Cantrell and Mitchell Falk all looking sharp enough. Each of these riders has a story to tell – and watching them lap the Corona test track, each has superb skills, you’ll be expecting all these guys to be chasing top honours.
We'll have a more detailed breakdown on these guys over the coming days. In the meantime hit the gallery play and enjoy their stylings...
